Pittsburgh International Airport is to host the FTE World Innovation Summit on 13-15 May 2025. This unique, worldwide Summit will unite inventive minds to tackle the aviation industry’s biggest challenges.

I write to share the exciting news that Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is hosting the Future Travel Experience (FTE) World Innovation Summit on 13-15 May 2025. This unique, worldwide Summit will unite inventive minds to tackle the aviation industry’s biggest challenges, explore PIT’s pioneering new terminal program, and uncover the city’s vibrant tech and innovation landscape.

The FTE World Innovation Summit is an evolution of the highly successful Aviation & Robotics Summit, on which we proudly collaborated with FTE in 2023 and 2024 to great acclaim. Together, we have bold ambitions for the reimagined event, with an expanded focus on three important core areas: Advanced Technology, Energy & Sustainability, and Future Airports.

A truly inspirational three-day agenda will bring together aviation and technology innovators for a vibrant mix of activities. These include an interdisciplinary series of conference sessions, curated interactive workshops, innovation tours of Pittsburgh-based organizations, and unparalleled networking opportunities, all taking place in Pittsburgh – the birthplace of AI and both an incubator and living laboratory for world-shaping creativity and digital transformations.

I believe innovation is a mindset, and the primary goal of this Summit is to co-create new approaches and highlight how first-movers and pioneers are already leading the charge when it comes to new technology adoption, and energy and sustainability innovation. It will also provide the perfect showcase for our transformational new terminal program, with multiple conference sessions and dedicated tours of the new terminal – opening in 2025 – sure to be among the many event highlights.

The new PIT is the front door that connects Pittsburgh to the world, and the world to Pittsburgh. It is truly passenger-first, with a seamless, smarter and more welcoming curb-to-gate experience, leveraging the latest tech to deliver the airport of the future.
