Synect is Diamond Sponsor of FTE Global (Long Beach, California, 9 to 11 September 2025). In this blog, Synect shares how it is transforming the airport experience and why you shouldn’t miss what the company is sharing at FTE Global.
Is your digital signage ready for record-breaking passenger volumes? Does it deliver a seamless, engaging airport experience from curbside to gate and back? If your answer was anything but an immediate and confident “yes,” you can’t afford to miss what Synect is sharing at FTE Global.
As airports prepare for record-breaking passenger volumes, the demand for a seamless, engaging, and efficient airport experience is higher than ever. To rise to the occasion, airports need solutions that can influence passenger behavior and improve their passenger journey.
Synect specializes in transforming how airports engage and communicate with their passengers. Passenger360, ReadySeeGo, FIDS of the Future, and our unique approaches are helping airports across the country build better passenger experiences, streamline operations, and drive ROI.
Our panel, Smarter Signage Starts Here: Strategy, Content & Systems that Deliver, takes place on Thursday, September 11, at 11:30 AM. We’ll be sharing a brand-new vision for airport communication that breaks the mold. Save the event to your calendar now.
Last year’s session was standing room only, and we’ve prepared an even bigger event this year. You can’t miss it. Here are three reasons why.
1) Learn from the Experts Ushering in the Next Generation of Airport Experience
We’re hosting a conversation with some of the most forward-thinking minds in airport technology and design:
- Faith Varwig, Founder and Managing Principal of Faith Group (Moderator)
- Yahav Ran, CEO of Synect
- Prasad Yarlagadda, AVP of Enterprise Systems at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport
- Ian Birnbaum, Project Manager at Burns Engineering
They’ll explore how content strategy helps leading airports enhance their IT infrastructure, improve passenger communication, and prepare for the future. This panel is packed with strategic, actionable insights for every part of the airport. Along the way, we’ll share a preview of some exciting new projects that are taking place at some of the busiest airports in the country. You won’t hear about them anywhere else any time soon.
2) Imagine the Future Beyond FIDS
Leading airports don’t start with hardware. They start with vision and strategy.
Content strategy is the foundation of effective communication. By identifying passengers’ needs at key touchpoints and soliciting feedback from operational teams, airports can create content that influences passenger behavior, reduce stress, and create moments of delight.
One of the best examples comes from Orlando Internation Airport (MCO), where Annie’s Journey is transforming what’s traditionally a point of stress into an opportunity for delight.
The experience stars Annie the Astronaut, a digital ambassador created by GOAA and Synect, in a fully animated 3D journey that mirrors the passenger journey at MCO. The intrepid astronaut strolls through a 3D replica of Terminals A and B, complete with check-in counters, plants, a food court, and other elements modeled directly from the facility, sharing “real-time TSA wait times, 3-1-1 reminders, divestment tips, post-security concession highlights via QR code, and themed ‘Easter Eggs,’ like a digital version of MCO’s much-loved carpet” as Airports International reported.
3) Spend Smarter on Screens and Systems
Signs and supporting systems are often one of the most expensive parts of a digital signage upgrade. Without content-first strategy, it’s easy to be stuck with bad designs and bad signs, as Faith Varwig explained during our 2024 panel.
Our panel will explore how starting with content helps airports:
- Reduce costs
- Use fewer systems more effectively
- Improve support and scalability
- Drive non-aeronautical revenue
Speak with Synect and Prepare for the Future of Airport Communication
Technology evolves fast. Airports need systems that are flexible, scalable, and sustainable tools that can support them today and for the next decade. That means looking beyond FIDS and investing in approaches and tools that can cover the most common touchpoints in your area, like check-in, security, wayfinding, FIDS, gates, baggage, and beyond.
Whether you’re planning a terminal refresh, launching new displays, or optimizing existing infrastructure, speaking with Synect will help you select the systems and strategies your airport needs to grow. Meet us during FTE Global:
